Bangkok – September 16, 2026 -- Gastech 2026 opens in Bangkok on September 14, convening 19 government ministers, global energy CEOs and technology leaders to address emerging markets that now drive more than 80% of global energy demand growth. Hosted by Thailand's Ministry of Energy and running through September 17, the event follows Gastech 2025's approximately $60 billion in commercial agreements and investments, setting a high bar for deal-making in this edition.
Nineteen ministers to open policy talks spanning 200-plus sessions
The Strategic Conference will be opened by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and includes senior representatives from Thailand, Egypt, Nigeria, Singapore, Oman, Libya and the United States. Flagship sessions include "The energy reset: Who controls power in the new global order?" and "Demand surge, system strain: Asia's energy stress test," focused on regional integration and scalable LNG infrastructure as governments respond to surging industrial and data-centre power consumption.
