New Haven, Conn. – October 07, 2026 -- General Dynamics Land Systems and Primordial Labs have signed a master teaming agreement to integrate natural language command and control software across GDLS's combat vehicle portfolio, including the Abrams tank and next-generation combat vehicles.
Anura software lets crews direct onboard systems by stating goals rather than navigating manual controls
The agreement pairs GDLS's vehicle design and integration expertise with Primordial Labs' Anura platform, a Natural Language Command and Control (NLC2) system. Crews will be able to state objectives and constraints in plain language, and Anura will execute actions by interfacing with onboard subsystems such as sensors, displays, communications and uncrewed systems -- tasks that currently require dedicated operator stations.
System runs entirely at the edge, operating without cloud connectivity in contested environments
Anura requires no cloud reachback, allowing it to function in communications-denied battlefield conditions. Under the partnership, Primordial Labs will expand Anura's integration across additional vehicles in the General Dynamics Land Systems lineup.
Partnership aims to cut training burden as new subsystems are added to vehicles
Each new capability historically added to a combat vehicle has required a separate control scheme and additional crew training, according to the companies. Anura is designed to absorb new subsystems or software updates into a single interface, allowing the Army and Marine Corps to field new technology at the pace it is developed.
