Genprex Takes TUSC2 Aging Research to GSA 2026 Poster Session

AUSTIN – October 29, 2026 -- Genprex (NASDAQ: GNPX) will present research on the TUSC2 gene, the therapeutic payload of its lead lung cancer candidate REQORSA, in mitochondrial biology and cellular aging at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting, widening the scientific case for the asset beyond oncology.

Poster scheduled for Nov. 4 in National Harbor, Maryland

The poster, titled "TUSC2 Gene Therapy in Humans Induces a Cellular-Resilience Program," will run in Late Breaking Poster Session I from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. ET at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Exhibit Hall C-D. Mark S. Berger, MD, Genprex's Chief Medical Officer, will present under Abstract ID 2489375. The meeting runs Nov. 4-7, 2026.

Meharry Medical College collaboration, launched in 2024, drives the work

Genprex set up the sponsored research collaboration with Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2024. It examines REQORSA's role in mitochondrial metabolism, stress-response pathways and molecular aging, and their potential link to cancer. Genprex is working with Meharry to expand the program with further studies of REQORSA in aging-related processes.

CEO Ryan Confer said the research may help identify opportunities for further scientific investigation into REQORSA's potential "beyond cancer."

Core pipeline remains lung cancer and diabetes

The company stresses that more research is needed before the findings could support therapeutic development. REQORSA (quaratusugene ozeplasmid) is in the Acclaim-1 trial for non-small cell lung cancer and the Acclaim-3 trial for small cell lung cancer. The FDA has granted Fast Track Designation to both programs and Orphan Drug designation to the small cell program. Genprex also runs an earlier-stage diabetes gene therapy program.

Genprex's forward-looking statements cite risks including maintaining Nasdaq Capital Market listing compliance and continuing as a going concern. The poster is expected to be posted on the company's website after the presentation, subject to conference disclosure requirements.
