Bolingbrook – October 19, 2026 -- Gerflor North America has begun offering select sports flooring products that contain Nike Grind materials, made from manufacturing scrap and end-of-life footwear, under an authorized licensee arrangement.
Gerflor North America becomes an authorized Nike Grind licensee
The company uses Nike Grind-derived material as an ingredient in eligible flooring products. The offering is limited to select products rather than the full portfolio.
Gerflor North America says the move supports its focus on responsible material sourcing and product innovation.
Connor Sports brand targets schools, universities and recreation centers
The Connor Sports brand, part of the Gerflor family of brands, serves schools, universities, recreation centers and other sports facilities. Connor Sports has more than 150 years of flooring experience and supplies championship basketball courts for the NCAA Men's and Women's Final Four.
Executives frame recycled content as a performance-neutral change
Benjamin Bachman, CEO of Gerflor North America, said the company aims to advance material innovation without compromising the performance and durability customers expect.
Zach Riberdy, Marketing Director of Connor Sports, said the material gives facilities another way to weigh responsible material use against the performance requirements of sports environments.
Licensee status carries no Nike partnership or endorsement
Nike Grind is a material ingredient in applicable Gerflor North America products. Gerflor North America and Connor Sports are independent of Nike, and authorized licensee status does not constitute a partnership, collaboration, affiliation or endorsement by Nike.
