Get Engaged will anchor SAMY's U.S. operations while retaining founders and leadership
Alex Dermer steps into the CEO role at Get Engaged as the unit continues to lead its own client relationships under the SAMY umbrella. SAMY CEO Juan Andres Elhazaz said scaling the U.S. footprint was one of the company's primary growth objectives after establishing a track record in Europe and Latin America.
Deal expands client access to international activation across Europe, Asia and Latin America
Get Engaged's existing clients gain entry to SAMY's global organization, including data and insights, strategy, creative, content production and social commerce capabilities. The combined firm will also deploy SAMY's proprietary AI-powered technology tools alongside Get Engaged's talent and creator relationships.
Bridgepoint Europe backs the deal as part of SAMY's continued global expansion
Héctor Pérez, Deputy Managing Partner of Bridgepoint Europe, called the transaction a milestone that significantly strengthens SAMY's U.S. presence by combining two complementary social-first businesses. The Raine Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Get Engaged on the transaction.
Raising Cane's founder Todd Graves, a Get Engaged client since 2018, credited the agency with helping the brand capitalize on cultural moments through fresh ideas and industry insight.
