Prague – October 13, 2026 -- GFI Software has built Eloquens AI directly into GFI KerioConnect, a mail and collaboration server deployed by more than 30,000 organizations, giving self-hosted mail users an AI email assistant without requiring a move to a third-party cloud.
CEO Eric Vaughan announced the integration in his keynote at ZEBR.AI Roadshow Praha 2026. Prague is in the country where Kerio was founded in 1997. Eloquens AI is an AI email automation platform created in 2024 by GFI's sister company IgniteTech.
GFI targets the cloud-migration requirement of rival AI mail assistants
GFI contrasts the product with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gmail's Gemini, which it says were built for organizations that already moved their mail to someone else's cloud. Many KerioConnect customers run their own mail on purpose, to control data, meet regulations or keep costs down. Vaughan said AI in email has carried a hidden price tag: moving mail to Microsoft or Google first.
Eloquens AI sorts and drafts replies within minutes of arrival
Within minutes of a message arriving, the assistant decides how to handle it:
- Notifications and newsletters move to a No Reply Needed folder.
- Messages that need a decision stay in the inbox, labeled.
- Routine questions get a reply in Drafts, written in the user's own voice for review and sending.
Each decision comes with its reasoning. The assistant works in KerioConnect webmail, the desktop client and Microsoft Outlook.
Administrators control activation, mailbox scope and data location
Eloquens AI is off by default until an administrator enables it in the KerioConnect administration console. Mail stays on the customer's own server. Administrators choose which mailboxes get the assistant and can disable it at any time.
A single click starts a 30-day free trial, with no sales call or setup. Managed service providers can offer it to every customer as a new service from the console they already use.
