Zhuhai – October 29, 2026 -- Golden Bake, the baking equipment division of Evergrowing Machinery Company Limited, says its automatic flour dosing system weighs a two-flour recipe in about 3 minutes with a tested tolerance of ±200 grams. The company presented the system at the 140th Canton Fair as part of an automated ingredient-handling line for biscuit plants.
A 3D model at the fair showed intelligent silos, dosing and conveying units working with mixing, forming and baking as one production line. Golden Bake's pitch is that delays in flour or sugar supply stall everything downstream.
Feeding station handles 50 kg of flour per minute with dust extraction
Manual tipping increases workers' exposure to airborne dust and contamination. The source cites the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration as classifying flour as a flammable dust that can, in some circumstances, explode.
Golden Bake's feeding station combines bag emptying, 30-mesh sifting and dual-suction, negative-pressure dust extraction. It feeds and screens up to 50 kg of flour per minute through a pulse-cleaned cartridge separator with food-grade anti-static filter media and a rotary valve at the hopper base.
Sealed pneumatic pipes carry the flour to storage, including between floors. The powder handling and electrical systems are designed to meet the explosion-proof requirements of GB 50058-2014 and AQ 3009-2007. A 1,000 kg buffer hopper controls dust by gravity separation and filtration, with intermittent agitation at the bottom to prevent bridging and blockages.
PLC-controlled weighing hopper takes 1,000 kg and records recipe data
A Golden Bake food technologist said that in mixed-flour recipes, "even a small shift in the ratio can change water absorption, dough strength, and forming performance." In high-volume production, that shows up in biscuit thickness and texture.
The 1,000 kg automatic weighing hopper is controlled by a PLC and an HMI touchscreen for feeding, weighing and discharge. It takes different flours separately by vacuum feeding and discharges them through a pneumatically sealed outlet to horizontal, vertical or other mixers. The system records recipes and weighing data, which Golden Bake says helps with product changeovers and reduces the impact of operator turnover.
According to Baking Business, 59% of respondents to a 2025-26 industrial bakery capital spending survey listed improvements in quality, consistency and precision among their key investment objectives for 2026.
Online sugar milling and parallel liquid dosing target mixer idle time
PLC-controlled scheduling allows sugar to be milled and weighed online and additives to be metered to recipe. Separate temperature-controlled modules pump oils, water and other liquids into the mixer in parallel. Golden Bake says this reduces waiting for ingredients and keeps dough supply to forming and baking steadier.
Setups can be adapted to the product. A cookies line emphasizes the order in which sugar, fat and flour enter the process, while a cracker line may need staged mixing and fermentation.
Modular design targets the 32% of bakeries focused on retrofits
Baking Business also found that 32% of surveyed bakery enterprises are focusing on upgrades and retrofitting, while 22% plan to add new equipment or production lines by 2026. Golden Bake's modular feeding system can be configured for integration with existing biscuit lines, depending on plant layout and installed equipment.
For new or expanded facilities, the company offers turnkey biscuit factory solutions covering facility planning, equipment layout, manufacturing, installation and on-site commissioning. Golden Bake also showed a multifunction cookies machine and a cream puff production line at the fair, and says it is expanding its global service network to help customers improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
