HAEVN Sells Local Businesses Date-Spot Slots at $99 a Month

Tampa – October 13, 2026 -- HAEVN, a city-by-city matching network, has launched Meetup Spots, a program that charges local businesses $99 per month to be recommended to matched singles deciding where to meet, starting in Tampa, Florida, and Austin, Texas.

HAEVN guarantees 10 recommendations a month or the next month is free

Participating coffee shops, restaurants, bars and activity venues commit for an initial three months. HAEVN guarantees at least 10 recommendations per month; a business that receives fewer gets its next month free. There is no cap on additional recommendations.

HAEVN counts one recommendation as one placement within a Match or Recommendation. Both people in that introduction see the same Meetup Spot.

Placement is not for sale, HAEVN says

The company distinguishes the model from digital advertising. There are no bids, no pay-per-click fees and no option to pay more to outrank another venue. HAEVN selects locations based on geography, member preferences and suitability for the type of date.

"Most local advertising tries to predict when someone might become a customer," founder Rik Foote said. "We already know the moment."

Match Monday surfaces four local options per match

Each Monday, HAEVN's Match Monday system searches its network for people who meet each member's relationship criteria and geographic preferences. When members are ready to meet, they see four recommendations: coffee, food, drinks and an activity. Selections draw on the two members' locations and date preferences, with the aim of finding a reasonable geographic middle ground.

Members can also browse a geographically organized Meetup Spot directory. A location control in HAEVN messaging lets either person pull up the four recommendations, review location and distance, and share a spot directly into the conversation.

Meetup Zones steer traffic to neighborhoods members may not visit

HAEVN groups participating businesses into local Meetup Zones. In Tampa Bay, these could include clusters around Downtown Tampa, South Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. The system recommends places that make logistical sense for both people rather than simply the nearest participating business, which can expose a venue to customers who would not otherwise have considered it.

HAEVN screens venues for safety, cleanliness and suitability for dates, while maintaining variety across price points and atmospheres.

No purchase attribution; businesses receive recommendation counts only

HAEVN does not currently attribute a recommendation to a later purchase or visit. Participating businesses receive reporting on how often their location was recommended. The company positions the $99 fee as an additional local customer-acquisition and awareness channel that complements, rather than replaces, existing marketing.

Meetup Spots follows the Goose launch for singles-event producers

HAEVN recently launched Goose, a real-time compatibility platform that lets guests at in-person singles events privately check compatibility with someone who catches their attention. The company also works with brands and event partners on real-world experiences, with participating Meetup Spots positioned to become preferred locations for them when appropriate.

HAEVN plans additional markets as it expands its network and expects the Meetup Spot network ultimately to include thousands of local businesses across U.S. markets.
