Akron, Ohio – September 13, 2026 -- Harmoni, a Factory Orchestration platform for manufacturers, has raised $10 million in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners, the company announced. Alongside the raise, Harmoni unveiled HAL, an AI system designed to deliver context-aware intelligence directly to the factory floor.

Nearly half of those U.S. manufacturing positions risk going unfilled as reshoring initiatives and rising costs compound labor pressure, according to Harmoni. Founded in 2023 by David Caputo and Adam Ellis, the company built its platform to address fragmented factory-floor execution that persists despite heavy investment in ERP systems, machine connectivity, and automation.

Customer results show the platform eliminates administrative and non-productive tasks by giving operators a unified command center at each workcenter. The system deploys in weeks and is built on three pillars: automation, process control, and observability. It uses RFID technology and machine-level workflows to automate labor tracking, ERP transactions, document retrieval, quality reporting, and support requests.

The new AI layer draws on information historically scattered across machines, engineering documents, production records, and institutional knowledge. Because Harmoni tracks the active job, part, machine, and process requirements in real time, that context feeds HAL automatically, helping teams diagnose issues, identify risks, and determine next steps at the point of production.
