Hilton Adds Book-for-Others Tool to Hilton for Business

MCLEAN, Va. – October 27, 2026 -- Hilton has enabled program owners and administrators in Hilton for Business to book, modify and manage hotel reservations on behalf of employees, a capability the company says was the most requested by the program's more than 400,000 members.

Hilton rolls out four coordinator tools to its free SMB travel program

Hilton for Business is a free global travel program for small and medium-sized companies (SMBs), with no minimum spend required. The new tools let owners and administrators:

  • Book stays for employees across the organization without separate logins or workarounds.
  • View upcoming team reservations in one place.
  • Modify or cancel reservations without relying on the traveler.
  • See which employees are currently on property, which Hilton links to duty of care.

Hilton says the update extends support beyond the point of booking, covering the full lifecycle of a trip and cutting the time companies spend managing travel.

Member research drove the update across three identified needs

Hilton collected input through internal customer studies, traveler research and competitive program analysis. It identified three needs: tools built for people who arrange travel for teams, more flexibility over who can book and for whom, and clearer visibility into employee travel.

Frank Passanante, senior vice president and global head of sales and HRCC at Hilton, said booking on behalf of someone else was "the most requested capability."

Hilton plans three further enhancements in the coming months

Future releases will allow authorized users to manage reservations for both members and non-members of an organization's Hilton for Business account. Hilton will also add travel coordinator and travel administrator roles, so businesses can delegate travel management without granting owner-level access.

An enhanced dashboard will show employee Points earning and distributions, along with spend and booking activity, to help owners and administrators manage budgets.

Company-earned Bonus Points stay redeemable for business or personal travel

Travelers continue to earn Hilton Honors Points on eligible stays. The company account can also earn Bonus Points when travelers book qualifying H4B rates, and those points can be redeemed for business or personal travel.
