Xiamen – September 07, 2026 -- HiTHIUM has secured the second-largest share of global energy storage battery shipments for the second consecutive year, according to rankings released by InfoLink Consulting, Shanghai Metals Market, ICCSINO and NECI for the first half of 2026.
Global storage battery shipments surge 94.76% to 467.84 GWh in H1 2026
InfoLink's global energy storage supply chain database recorded worldwide shipments of 467.84 GWh in the first six months of 2026, nearly double the volume from the same period a year earlier. The industry-wide expansion coincides with shifting demand toward higher-capacity systems, longer storage duration, and stricter safety and reliability standards.
Company anchors strategy on long-duration energy storage systems
HiTHIUM has built a full value-chain industrial system spanning material development, cell manufacturing, system integration and lifecycle operations, positioning its long-duration energy storage (LDES) products—covering 4-to-8-hour storage durations—for renewable energy sites, generation-grid-load-storage coordination, commercial and industrial storage, and power supply for AI data centers. The company's products are currently deployed in more than 40 countries and regions.
Chongqing plant certified as first Lighthouse Factory in the sector
HiTHIUM's Chongqing facility was certified in January 2026 as the world's first Lighthouse Factory in the energy storage battery industry. In August, the company's integrated LDES industrial park in Heze, Shandong—described as the first of its kind globally—began production. Separately, HiTHIUM's Texas plant has started production, while construction continues at its site in Spain.
