Birkenhead – – September 11, 2026 -- Holiferm and Organica UK have combined operations, backed by continued commercial partnership with Sadorp, to create an end-to-end British biomanufacturing platform spanning ingredient science, product formulation and retail commercialisation.
Holiferm merges biosurfactant fermentation technology with Organica's formulation capability
Holiferm develops and manufactures nature-derived biosurfactants through proprietary fermentation technology at its North West England facilities. Organica formulates biodegradable, non-hazardous household and cleaning products for established UK and international brands. The combined entity now controls the chain from raw ingredient development through finished product manufacturing.
Companies have shared adjacent sites since 2023, now plan joint production expansion
Holiferm and Organica have operated side by side since 2023 and will continue running from adjacent facilities under the new structure. The arrangement gives the combined business room to scale production capacity and pursue joint innovation projects without relocating operations.
Sadorp retains commercial role linking manufacturing output to retailer shelves
Sadorp remains an integral commercial partner to the merged business, contributing established retailer relationships and route-to-market expertise. Organica was advised on the transaction by Debretts and Franklins; Holiferm was advised by Brown Rudnick.
Holiferm CEO frames combination as accelerant toward profitability
Charles Dimmler, CEO of Holiferm, said the strategic combination accelerates the company's path to profitability and expands its ability to serve customers with applications development capability spanning science, engineering and product development through to store shelves. Chris Arthur, owner of Organica UK, who built the company over 28 years, said the deal combines Organica's formulation heritage with Holiferm's biomanufacturing technology to deliver more sustainable cleaning solutions for existing customers.
