Miami – September 11, 2026 -- Homewerks Worldwide, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has completed the acquisition of GTR Technologies, a Seattle-area specialist in ventilation fans, technology switches and access panels for the home improvement sector.

Deal marks fourth add-on acquisition for Homewerks under H.I.G. ownership

Jon Fox, Managing Director at H.I.G. Capital, said the transaction continues the firm's strategic growth plan of adding innovative product lines that build on Homewerks' existing operations and supply chain capabilities. H.I.G. Capital manages $75 billion in capital and has invested in more than 400 companies since its founding in 1993.

GTR built retail and wholesale distribution footprint over recent years

Headquartered in Port Orchard, Washington, GTR has expanded its presence with major U.S. home improvement retailers while growing its wholesale and distribution channel business. The company sells under both private-label and branded offerings, targeting professional installers with easy-to-install technology products.

Homewerks CEO frames GTR as complementary to existing plumbing, HVAC lines

Peter Berkman, President and CEO of Homewerks, said GTR's focused strategy and track record position it for continued growth within the Homewerks platform. Homewerks, based in Lake Bluff, Illinois, develops and markets home improvement products across rough plumbing, fashion plumbing, HVAC, and bath accessory categories under both its own brands and retailer private labels.

Tony Branham, Founder of GTR, said the partnership with Homewerks will allow the company to expand its product lineup while strengthening its position as a market innovator.
