Washington – October 14, 2026 -- The Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group) and America Business Forum (ABF) will convene more than 200 CEOs, investors and top executives in Miami on December 15 for the inaugural CEO Forum of the Americas, an invitation-only event.
The organizers say the forum is meant to link policy priorities with investment opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean. The agenda covers practical pathways for more investment, integration and growth across the region.
Forum agenda targets supply chains, critical minerals and AI
Talks will center on three areas that the organizers describe as critical to the hemisphere's economic future.
Supply chains: The organizers see an opening for the region to strengthen its role in global supply chains as a platform for production, logistics and value-added manufacturing. They say businesses need enabling conditions to scale investments and integrate into regional and global value chains.
Critical minerals: Demand for resources that power advanced digital technologies continues to grow. The agenda focuses on moving up the value chain by mobilizing investment, strengthening partnerships and expanding higher-value production.
Artificial intelligence: The organizers say the region is well placed to adopt and responsibly scale AI. They cite a growing technology ecosystem, data center investment potential, competitive energy resources and increasing integration with global digital markets.
IDB Group president calls for coordinated action across public and private sectors
IDB Group President Ilan Goldfajn said turning the region's potential into results will require coordinated, concrete action. He said the IDB Group is convening the dialogue to connect public and private sectors, and the region with the rest of the world.
ABF founder frames partnership as new chapter after 2025 summit
ABF Founder and CEO Ignacio González said ABF became the world's largest leadership summit in 2025. He said the partnership with the IDB Group extends that mission by bringing together leaders of the Americas.
The CEO Forum of the Americas takes place during ABF's G20 Week in Miami. ABF itself returns to the Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat, on December 16-17, 2026.
