Houston – September 15, 2026 -- ImmunoGenesis has appointed Reza Mazhari, Ph.D., and Mike Davis to its Board of Directors as the clinical-stage biotech advances its lead immunotherapy candidate toward key data readouts in mid-2027.

IMGS-001, a cytotoxic checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-L1 and PD-L2, is being studied for immune-excluded tumors, a category that accounts for more than half of all cancers. James Barlow, President and CEO of ImmunoGenesis, said the new board members will help shape pipeline, partnering and fundraising strategy for the company's next growth phase.
Mazhari brings 25 years of oncology deal-making experience from Novartis and Pfizer partnerships
Dr. Mazhari currently serves as Chief Business Officer at Delphia Therapeutics and previously held the same role at Triana Biomedicines, where he led a 2024 discovery partnership with Pfizer. He was formerly Head of Search and Evaluation for Oncology at Novartis, overseeing in-licensing and out-licensing deals, and co-founded Cardioxyl Pharmaceuticals, which Bristol-Myers Squibb acquired in 2015. He holds a Ph.D. in bioengineering from UC San Diego and began his career at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Davis led the USGA for over three decades before joining the ImmunoGenesis board
As CEO of the United States Golf Association, Davis oversaw strategic direction, financial stewardship, governance and stakeholder engagement, managing operational and regulatory challenges across industry, government and nonprofit partners. He currently sits on more than half a dozen boards and holds a BBA in Business Finance from Georgia Southern University.
Davis said he intends to apply his experience running a major sports organization to provide direction to ImmunoGenesis leadership, while Mazhari said he aims to leverage his drug development and business development background across biotech and large pharma to guide strategic decisions.
