Tel Aviv – – September 11, 2026 -- The Israel National Biotech Innovation Center (INBI) officially launched operations, uniting 15 of Israel's top universities, research institutions and healthcare organizations under a single translational platform for the first time.

Anat Cohen-Dayag Takes Helm of INBI Core

Anat Cohen-Dayag, PhD, Executive Chairperson of Compugen and formerly its President and CEO for 15 years, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of INBI Core Ltd., the wholly owned operational subsidiary of INBI. Samuel Moed, former Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Bristol Myers Squibb, will chair both INBI and INBI Core.

Fifteen Institutions Join as Founding Partners

Founding partners include Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, The Technion, The University of Haifa and the Weizmann Institute of Science, alongside major healthcare providers Clalit Health Services, Maccabi Healthcare Services, Sheba Medical Center, Hadassah Medical Center, Rambam Health Care Campus, Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Beilinson Hospital - Rabin Medical Center.

Structured Cohort Model to De-Risk Early-Stage Assets

Through INBI Core, the center will run a multi-year cohort lifecycle designed to de-risk projects, optimize therapeutic leads and prepare early-stage pipeline assets for commercial spinouts and investment. The model was catalyzed under 8400 The Health Network, which continues to support the initiative.
