Kholo Capital Lends R275M Mezzanine Debt to ICT Distributor DCC

Johannesburg – October 13, 2026 -- Kholo Capital Mezzanine Debt Fund I has provided R275 million (US$17 million) in mezzanine debt to DCC Holdings Proprietary Limited, a South African information and communications technology (ICT) distributor. The funding will refinance DCC's existing debt and support its long-term growth strategy.

Kholo Capital enters DCC's capital structure alongside Kleoss Capital

DCC's shareholders are senior management and private equity investor Kleoss Capital. DCC CEO Carlos Ferreira said the shareholders are introducing Kholo Capital into the group's capital structure. He said DCC has grown steadily by adding key brands and expanding its footprint within established vendor relationships.

Kleoss Managing Partner Hale Matsipa described the deal as a collaboration with a fellow private markets investor and evidence of positive momentum in South Africa's private markets.

DCC distributes HP, Dell and Lenovo products across Southern Africa

Founded in 1988, DCC supplies personal computing, printing, enterprise infrastructure and software products. It sells to resellers, system integrators and retailers across Southern Africa. Its vendor portfolio includes HP, Dell and Lenovo. The company links international technology manufacturers with local resellers and retailers.

Kholo Capital says mezzanine structure will optimise DCC's balance sheet

Kholo Capital Managing Partner Mokgome Mogoba said the transaction shows how structured mezzanine capital can "optimise a company's capital structure" while giving DCC the financial flexibility to support growth. He cited DCC's long-standing relationships with global technology manufacturers, its reseller network and its logistics capabilities as the basis of its market position.

Fellow Managing Partner Zaheer Cassim said DCC has built its distribution platform over nearly four decades. He pointed to the company's youth employment programs, support for learners with disabilities and SME reseller development. He also cited its adoption of solar energy and water-saving measures. Cassim said Kholo Capital believes DCC is well placed to capitalise on opportunities across the Southern African ICT market.

Deneys and Webber Wentzel advise on the transaction

Deneys acted as legal counsel to Kholo Capital, and Webber Wentzel advised DCC. The source does not disclose the mezzanine facility's tenor, pricing or repayment terms.
