Lee Equity Invests in Marwood Group, Names Ex-EY Exec CEO

New York – September 15, 2026 -- Marwood Group, a healthcare-focused advisory and consulting firm, has secured a strategic investment from Lee Equity Partners to fund acquisitions and senior team hires as it expands beyond its core policy and reimbursement advisory business.

Chris Librizzi departs EY-Parthenon to take Marwood's CEO role

Librizzi joins Marwood after five years leading EY-Parthenon's US strategy consulting business. He previously built and led EY's firmwide corporate strategy function and sat on the company's US Board and Executive Committee. At EY-Parthenon, he oversaw diversification into new customer segments and offerings, developed new products and client solutions, and led senior hires and acquisition integrations.

Richard Jeanneret, a 20-year EY veteran, joins as Executive Chairman

Jeanneret, a senior advisor to Lee Equity and one of EY's longest-serving board members, has advised corporate boards, multinational organizations and private equity firms. At EY, he built multiple market-leading businesses and guided M&A execution.

Marwood targets hospitals, payors and life sciences as new client segments

The firm intends to use the Lee Equity partnership to deepen its ability to serve private equity firms across the transaction lifecycle, invest in talent, and expand into hospitals, payors and life sciences companies. Marwood's current leadership team -- including President Walt Breakell, Chief Revenue Officer Lee Alvarez and Chief Product Officer Martin Sobel -- remains in place, with Breakell continuing on the company's Board.

Lee Equity cites Marwood's differentiated healthcare expertise as investment rationale

John Eppler, Principal at Lee Equity, said the firm's healthcare-specific knowledge positions it for both organic and inorganic growth. Marwood has been building out compliance, strategy and performance-improvement services in recent years to complement its established position advising executives and investors on healthcare policy and reimbursement.

Librizzi said Marwood's policy and regulatory expertise connects to many aspects of clients' businesses and investment theses, and that the firm is focused on building additional market-leading capabilities.
