Seoul – October 08, 2026 -- LG Electronics is equipping the Genesis GV90, the luxury brand's first full-size flagship SUV, with a suite of six in-cabin technologies covering display, infotainment, content and connectivity.
LG debuts first variable popup display in a Genesis model
The GV90 cockpit centers on a 24.6-inch variable popup central information display (CID), marking the first deployment of this system in a Genesis vehicle. While driving, the display stays low-profile with a 23.6-inch visible screen combining the audio-video-navigation system and instrument cluster. For stationary use, the screen rises an additional 90mm to its full 24.6-inch size for entertainment content.
Integrated infotainment system runs on Hyundai Motor Group's Pleos Connect
LG's infotainment system, embedded in Pleos Connect, serves as the GV90's central hub, unifying the cluster, AVN and head-up display while delivering the Pleos Connect OS and Gleo AI voice assistant.
LG ACP adds Zoom, Rakuten TV and HappyKids to in-vehicle content lineup
The LG Automotive Content Platform currently gives GV90 occupants access to Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, TVING, Baby Shark World for Kids, Haystack News and LG Channels. Zoom, Rakuten TV and HappyKids are planned additions, with availability subject to regional launch schedules.
Second-generation ccRC brings 13.2-inch OLED screen to rear seats
The rear-seat entertainment system features a touch-sensitive OLED panel integrated with LG ACP. An eight-inch console touch screen (CTS) controls HVAC, doors, seats, lighting, media and massage functions, supporting haptic feedback, cybersecurity and over-the-air updates.
CCU 2.0 secures ASIL-D certification from TÜV Rheinland
LG's central communication unit, which links the GV90's electronic control units and external networks for remote control and OTA updates, has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for compliance with ASIL-D requirements under ISO 26262, the international standard for automotive functional safety.
Eun Seok-hyun, president of the LG Vehicle Solution Company, said the combined display, infotainment, content platform and vehicle control technologies aim to deliver more seamless experiences for drivers and passengers in future vehicles.
