Miami – – October 07, 2026 -- League One Volleyball (LOVB) has named the ownership group for LOVB Miami, its 10th professional team and South Florida's only major women's professional sports franchise, set to debut in the 2026-27 season as a founding member of LOVB Pro's new Eastern Conference.
Ownership group spans finance, sports and entertainment sectors
The group is anchored by Suprette, Jett Sports, Fifth Down Capital, Chase and Stephanie Coleman, and Jackie Garcia, mother of UNC volleyball player Jackie Taylor. It also includes owners tied to the NBA's Charlotte Hornets, MLB's Tampa Bay Rays, and the NWSL's North Carolina Courage, bringing cross-league franchise experience to the venture.
Hall of Fame and Olympic athletes join as investors
Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer and four-time Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie leads a roster of athlete-investors that includes Olympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson, First-Ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer Champ Bailey, Super Bowl champions Carlos Dunlap and Ryan Clark, and NFL All-Pro Braxton Berrios. Volleyball-specific investors include Puerto Rican volleyball veteran Aury Cruz, Olympic gold medalist Phil Dalhausser, and Olympian Tri Bourne.
"Being at the ownership table means having a voice in shaping the future of sport while creating more opportunities for athletes outside the lines," said Lisa Leslie.
Media and entertainment figures add cultural reach
