NEW YORK – September 15, 2026 -- Macabacus has launched Deck Check AIR, an AI-powered review tool embedded directly in PowerPoint, as up to 62% of finance teams report shipping AI-generated errors in financial models and deal documents to clients.
Deck Check AIR audits financial logic across entire presentations
The tool uses generative AI to scan every slide in a deck, flagging miscalculations and logic inconsistencies rather than just formatting issues. It was built to review high-stakes documents including pitch books, investment committee memoranda, M&A consequences analyses, portfolio reviews, and board materials.
CEO Charlie Schilling frames the launch as a response to AI-driven risk in deal documents
"We are deploying generative AI to ensure every deal document is ticked and tied when it is shared with a client or decision maker," said Charlie Schilling, CEO of Macabacus. He said the company is using the same technology that generates models and decks to minimize risks from inconsistent or hallucinated content in deliverables where errors carry high stakes.
Tool integrates with existing LLM subscriptions and embeds inside Microsoft 365
Deck Check AIR sits directly inside PowerPoint, avoiding a separate application, and is compatible with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini models. This lets client firms use their existing LLM licenses to manage token usage while keeping data in-house. Macabacus states it does not use client data to train its AI models and does not see, store, or retain client intellectual property.
Rollout targets Macabacus's existing enterprise base of 3,000 firms
Deck Check AIR is now available as an add-on to Macabacus Enterprise license deployments. The company's platform is used by 75,000 professionals across investment banking, private equity, asset management, consulting, advisory, and corporate finance.
