SALT LAKE CITY – October 28, 2026 -- Thorne converted 80% of its paper batch records to electronic batch records (EBR) in 2026 using MasterControl Manufacturing Excellence (Mx), earning the Manufacturing Excellence Award at MasterControl's 2026 Masters Summit. The October event named four winners of the Masters of Excellence Awards, which recognize MasterControl customers in quality management, manufacturing, asset excellence and innovation.

Thorne targets full electronic batch record rollout by year-end

Thorne aims to complete its EBR implementation by the end of 2026, with MasterControl Logbooks planned next. After five years on MasterControl, the company reports measurable gains in right-first-time rates, record review and release times, and quality performance.

Thorne simplified its workflows but kept the multiple inspections, process controls and verification checks in its master manufacturing records. System validation, controlled access, audit trails and electronic signature controls supported compliance with applicable electronic recordkeeping and signature requirements.

In 2026, its Signatera molecular residual disease (MRD) test received U.S. Food and Drug Administration companion diagnostic approval for muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
