MegazoneCloud Builds AI QA Agent for Hanmi Pharmaceutical

Seoul -- September 9, 2026 -- MegazoneCloud has begun system development on 'Hanmi Q-Agent,' an AI agent designed to cut Hanmi Pharmaceutical's quality assurance document workload by more than 40%, with build work starting September 7.

MegazoneCloud deploys RAG-based agent across 4,000 quality documents

The Seoul-based AI and cloud company will build a search-based AI agent covering roughly 4,000 quality documents accumulated by Hanmi Pharmaceutical, using its enterprise AI OS 'AIR Studio.' The retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system will retrieve and summarize documents, then compare them against the latest pharmaceutical regulations to flag non-conforming items.

Quality documents at Hanmi Pharmaceutical mix tables, figures, formulas, and bilingual Korean-English notation. Staff have historically had to manually cross-check these against current regulatory standards, with discrepancies typically caught only after inspections. MegazoneCloud's system aims to enable real-time preventive quality management instead.

Fine-tuned Solar model targets GMP compliance domain

MegazoneCloud is fine-tuning Upstage's Korean-language model 'Solar' to Hanmi Pharmaceutical's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) domain as the response engine for Hanmi Q-Agent. GMP is the international standard governing consistent pharmaceutical manufacturing quality and forms the core of the QA operations the agent targets.

Suh Min-taek, Vice President of MegazoneCloud, said pharmaceutical quality assurance is among the most demanding domains for AI adoption because a single word can determine a regulatory judgment, requiring exceptional accuracy and traceability.

Four-company consortium splits infrastructure, data, and verification roles

The project runs under the MSIT and NIPA-backed 'AX One-Stop Voucher Program,' which provides integrated AI, cloud, and data support in voucher form. Hanmi Pharmaceutical leads the consortium overall; MegazoneCloud handles AI solution implementation and fine-tuning; Samsung SDS supplies AX infrastructure; and Selectstar performs data processing and third-party verification. The four companies held a kickoff for the "2026 AX One-Stop Voucher Program Hanmi Pharmaceutical Consortium" on August 28.
