CHICAGO – November 06, 2026 -- Merge, part of Merative, is launching Merge Imaging, a cloud-native platform that unifies radiology, cardiology and clinical imaging workflows. It debuts at RSNA 2026 with AssignIQ, a new study-assignment tool, and new lung nodule and lesion tracking modules. The company says the package helps imaging teams scale reading capacity with their existing workforce.
AssignIQ matches studies to radiologists by subspecialty, credentials, workload and priority
AssignIQ extends MergeIQ, the platform's AI workflow orchestration layer, from prior-report intelligence into active study assignment. It builds on Merge Workflow Orchestrator and routes each case to an available radiologist based on subspecialty, credentials, workload and case priority. Merge says practices can use it to balance assignments and make better use of existing capacity.
Two other MergeIQ tools surface history at the point of read. RelevancyIQ ranks prior reports by relevance to the current study. NaviIQ searches within prior reports for pertinent findings. Radiologists need no extra logins or windows to use either.
Merge Imaging consolidates DICOM and non-DICOM data into one vendor-neutral source
The platform combines image management, viewing, reading, orchestration and AI. Every user gets the same viewer, tools and priors, so departments need no bespoke training. It is designed for single facilities, teleradiology groups and multi-site health systems. Security features include role-based access, audit trails and central control of every AI model.
Ashish Sant, executive vice president and general manager of Merge, said the focus is on "making radiologists' day-to-day work easier" by connecting imaging, embedding AI insights and adding clinical modules for tracking lesions over time.
Lung and lesion modules target follow-up rates of 29% to 39% for incidental nodules
The unified lung tracking module combines nodule findings, measurements and priors in one view to assess change and support structured follow-up. The general lesion tracking module does the same across exams and modalities.
Merge cites an estimated 1.5 million U.S. patients diagnosed annually with incidental pulmonary nodules. A 2022 review found recommended follow-up rates of only 29% to 39%. Separately, an American Journal of Radiology analysis of 656 examples with delayed diagnoses identified unavailable or unretrieved prior information among contributing factors.
Merge shows the platform at booth #8113 alongside Merge Cardio 12.5 and Merge PACS 9.5
The company will demonstrate Merge Imaging, AssignIQ, RelevancyIQ, NaviIQ and the tracking modules in the North Hall at McCormick Place, Nov. 29 to Dec. 3. Merge says 6 of the 10 largest U.S. health systems use its products.
