MFour Hires Sean Miller to Bring Data Engineering In-House

Irvine – October 16, 2026 -- MFour Data Research named Sean Miller Vice President, First-Party Data Engineering, with a mandate to bring its entire engineering stack in-house, from data collection through the company's own AI model. Miller reports to Chief Technology Officer Aaron Wepler.

Miller takes charge of all first-party data engineering at MFour

Miller will lead engineering for all of MFour's first-party data, which consumers share through transparent consent. The data covers purchases and receipts, app usage, web browsing, location and store visits, desktop activity and LLM conversations. Each stream is connected to the same consumer's own survey answers.

MFour says AI now makes the in-housing work possible in days, not months. The foundation stays the same: behavioral and survey data collected with transparent consent and combined on one platform.

MFour pays its 13M+ opted-in panelists under its Fair Trade Data model

Through its Fair Trade Data® model, MFour compensates members of its 13M+ opted-in panel for the data they share. The company says this lets brands and researchers track what consumers do across the entire journey and survey them to learn why.

MFour describes itself as the provider of the largest first-party mobile-app consumer panel in the U.S. It also calls itself the only platform connecting surveys and behaviors for journey intelligence from ChatGPT to checkout.

Miller brings 16 years of behavioral data experience from Luth Research

Miller has more than 16 years of experience building behavioral data products and panels. He was most recently Senior Executive Vice President, Operations at Luth Research.

MFour Founder and CEO Chris St. Hilaire framed the hire around the rise of AI models and synthetic audiences. He argued that the race to understand the consumer journey will be won with real human data behind synthetic models, and said consent must not be buried in fine print.

Wepler said Miller brings the discipline to grow first-party data with quality that can be measured, not just asserted. Miller said his priority is to give clients data they can trust on sight and to ensure panelists know exactly what they share.
