M&M International to Open Costa Rica Medical Tubing Plant in Q1 2027

Edison, N.J. – October 21, 2026 -- M&M International will open a 40,000-square-foot stainless-steel tubing plant in the Greenpark free-trade zone in Coyol, Costa Rica, in the first quarter of 2027, adding a third manufacturing facility to its network.

The plant is under construction. M&M, a portfolio company of Gainline Capital Partners, says the site will expand production capacity and diversify its manufacturing footprint to strengthen supply chain resilience for customers.

Phase one targets medical tubing for catheters, needles and robotics

The first phase will produce stainless-steel medical tubing, a component used in catheters, needles, robotics and surgical instruments. The location puts production closer to customers in the U.S. and Latin America.

CEO Jeff Robertson said the third facility increases the company's agility in meeting customer needs worldwide. He added that the plant is designed to nearly double in size beyond phase one, with additional capacity and processes. M&M will hire a local workforce in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica build follows June acquisition of South Korea's KC Tech

The facility follows M&M's June acquisition of South Korean stainless-steel tubing maker KC Tech. The deal broadened the company's product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities.

Founded 33 years ago, M&M produces small-diameter tubing in 300 series stainless steel, Inconel 625 and 17-7 stainless steel for medical devices and other high-precision applications. The Costa Rica plant is part of a multi-year expansion plan to serve the global medical device industry.
