DALLAS – October 29, 2026 -- Nanoscope Therapeutics will field four executives across six sessions at Advanced Therapies USA 2026 in Boston on November 4-5, as its optogenetic gene therapy MOGENRY (sonpiretigene isteparvovec; MCO-010) awaits decisions from the U.S. FDA and Japan's PMDA. The conference, held at the Hynes Convention Center, brings together cell and gene therapy developers, manufacturers, investors and commercial leaders.
Nanoscope's CEO joins keynote panel with five other therapy developers
Co-Founder and CEO Sulagna Bhattacharya will sit on the keynote panel "Navigating the Cell and Gene Therapy Landscape: Opportunities & Challenges for Driving Market Success" on November 4 at 9:45 AM ET. Miguel Forte, CEO of Kiji Therapeutics and President of the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy, moderates. Executives from KSQ Therapeutics, Aleko Therapeutics, Iovance Biotherapeutics, Orchard Therapeutics and Sumitomo Pharma America also take part.
Bhattacharya will draw on the company's progress toward potential global approval of MOGENRY for inherited retinal dystrophies, including the status of its Biologics License Application (BLA) and Japan New Drug Application (JNDA).
Arjunji targets pricing and access evidence for rare disease launches
Ramesh Arjunji, Executive Vice President, Value & Access, will present "Starting Early to Develop Evidence to Support Access & Pricing for Rare Diseases" at 1:55 PM ET in Room 209. He will argue that rare disease developers should begin generating evidence early in development, citing Nanoscope's preparations for a potential MOGENRY launch.
At 5:10 PM ET he joins a panel on overcoming barriers to cell and gene therapy access. Nneka Onwudiwe, a former PRO/PE Regulatory Review Officer at the FDA, moderates. Panelists come from AIVITA Biomedical, Tolerance Bio, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, the Emily Whitehead Foundation and HebeCell Corporation.
Mohanty presents mutation-agnostic platform at two sessions
Samarendra Mohanty, PhD, Co-Founder, President and Chief Scientific Officer, presents "Disease-Agnostic Gene Therapy for Neurodegenerative Conditions" on November 4 at 11:30 AM ET in Hall D. Mohanty invented the company's multi-characteristic opsin (MCO) platform. He will explain how delivering a light-sensitive opsin to surviving bipolar cells restores vision lost to retinal degeneration without genetic testing, invasive surgery or repeat dosing.
On November 5 at 9:35 AM ET, he joins the keynote panel "Where's the Money? Evolution And Future Outlook for Investment in Advanced Therapies," moderated by Sven Kili, Partner at Saisei Ventures. Ananta Ayagari, PhD, Sr. Director of Regulatory, presents "Navigating Global Regulatory Filings" in Room 209.
FDA has filed the BLA and PMDA has granted priority review in Japan
The FDA has accepted and filed the BLA for MOGENRY for retinitis pigmentosa (RP) with severe vision loss. Japan's PMDA is reviewing the NDA for inherited retinal dystrophies under priority review. Both filings follow positive results from the RESTORE Phase 2b/3 randomized, double-masked, sham-controlled trial in RP (NCT04945772).
MOGENRY is a one-time, in-office intravitreal therapy designed for existing retina office workflows. Nanoscope plans to start a Phase 3 registrational trial in Stargardt disease in 2026 and expects to begin a Phase 2 program in geographic atrophy the same year.
Nanoscope leaders will be available throughout the conference to meet potential partners, investors and industry stakeholders.
