Amsterdam – September 15, 2026 -- NetActuate has launched a curated marketplace of more than 110 media, streaming, transcode, and delivery appliances for one-click deployment across its global edge anycast network, spanning over 45 locations worldwide.
NetActuate charges zero listing fees or revenue share on marketplace appliances
Customers pay only for the compute an appliance runs on. Commercial software follows a bring-your-own-license model, with vendor keys applied at first boot and never stored, while open source appliances require no license at all.
Deployment model targets hyperscaler egress fees that consume 3-20% of revenue
NetActuate CEO Mark Mahle said the marketplace removes the trade-off between hyperscaler convenience and cost, noting the deployment flow already runs in production for thousands of customers. The catalog covers ingest, transcode, packaging, caching, and WebRTC appliances, deployable via the same server flow NetActuate already uses for cloud, VMs, and managed Kubernetes.
Public sandbox trials require no account and auto-terminate after a time limit
NETINT Bitstreams with VPU acceleration, Norsk Studio, Edge by Quortex, and Unified Origin are available today through no-signup sandbox trials, provisioned close to the visitor and torn down automatically when the trial ends. NETINT CRO Randal Horne said the partnership enables VPU-as-a-Service evaluation and deployment cycles measured in days rather than months compared with traditional infrastructure.
Vendors including Norsk, Quortex, and Unified Streaming back the edge distribution model
Norsk co-founder Dom Robinson said deploying Norsk Studio directly onto NetActuate's anycast edge extends the reliability the company built over 15 years of live video operations to wherever a customer's footprint runs. Quortex Streaming Segment Lead Robin Oakley said running the company's CDN and Edge product on the anycast network brings just-in-time scalability closer to viewers without permanently overprovisioned capacity. Unified Streaming co-founder Dirk Griffioen said the collaboration helps the company continue serving HLS, DASH, MSS, and HDS formats from infrastructure close to viewers without re-encoding.
NetActuate continues onboarding additional commercial partners on an ongoing basis
The marketplace catalog is live now, with deployment available through the NetActuate customer portal for existing customers and via public sandbox for select appliances.
