San Francisco – September 15, 2026 -- OpenSpace unveiled a new AI agent platform and mobile tracking tools at its Waypoint 2026 customer event, aiming to shift construction workflows from document-based reporting to real-time visual data drawn from more than 110,000 projects.

OpenSpace introduces AI Autolocation 2.0 to track workers' live position without GPS or beacons

The company's upgraded Autolocation technology allows field teams to see their exact position on drawings and BIM models in real time, including offline, without installing bluetooth beacons or other wireless hardware. The tool powers a new mobile interface called Site Mode, which surfaces location-specific project information and opens Field Notes directly from a user's position on the jobsite.

Walk-and-Talk feature converts voice narration into location-tagged daily reports

A new capability named AI Walk-and-Talk lets workers speak naturally while moving through a site; OpenSpace tags the images and voice data to specific locations and compiles them into automated end-of-day reports, cutting administrative time.

OpenSpace Track adds quantity tracking and predictive analytics for progress verification

Responding to demand from owners on mission-critical builds, OpenSpace expanded its Track product with new quantity tracking, markup tools and predictive analytics. A new Track API lets customers pull progress data directly into ERP systems, BI dashboards or project management tools. The company said some customers are already using Track data to accelerate subcontractor payments based on a shared visual record trusted by all parties.

Company launches Agent Ecosystem giving AI agents access to jobsite visual data

OpenSpace announced the OpenSpace Agent Ecosystem, an open AI agent platform built on a dataset of more than 500 million expert-verified labels and descriptions drawn from imagery covering over 77 billion square feet of construction. The platform is designed to let AI agents inside OpenSpace or partner systems using MCP handle tasks such as daily logs, routine inspections and punch-list clearing. OpenSpace said it is currently working with a select group of Early Access customers to deploy these agents against real construction workflows.

"AI agents need eyes," said Michael Fleischman, CTO and Co-Founder of OpenSpace. "Without visual and spatial context, AI still cannot fully understand the scope of what drives business results for our customers."

Zeeshan Haider, Director of Business Process at ISEC, Inc., said the platform's integration with Autodesk Issues helps his team resolve project issues faster, directly affecting job profitability tied to how quickly open issues are closed.
