Glendale, Ariz. – September 07, 2026 -- OrthoArizona has opened a $25 million, 50,000-square-foot orthopedic center at 9070 W. Glendale Ave., adjacent to Westgate and State Farm Stadium, combining surgery, imaging and therapy under one roof.
New campus consolidates full care pathway in a single building
The Glendale facility houses comprehensive musculoskeletal care, an on-site ambulatory surgery center, physical therapy and advanced imaging, including MRI, allowing patients to move from first visit to full recovery at one location. Dr. Rajan Bhatt, chief executive officer of OrthoArizona, said the group has grown since 1994 by staying close to the communities it serves, calling Glendale the clearest expression of that strategy.
Expansion program adds roughly 77,000 square feet since late 2024
The Glendale center is part of a multi-site expansion accelerated under Bhatt, who was appointed CEO in late 2024. OrthoArizona has also opened an advanced imaging center in Scottsdale and a 13,000-square-foot comprehensive center in Verrado, while committing $12.1 million to modernize and expand five existing centers across the Phoenix metro area. Deer Valley is more than doubling in size, from roughly 12,000 to nearly 26,000 square feet. A 50,000-square-foot center in Chandler is scheduled to open in summer 2027.
Physician-led model links clinical, surgical and imaging teams
Dr. Caleb Behrend, president of OrthoArizona, said decisions start with what patients and providers need at the point of care, and that housing clinic, imaging, surgery and therapy in one building shortens the path from injury to recovery while letting surgeons and therapists work as one team.
Arizona's aging population and health care job growth drive demand
More than 19% of Arizona residents are 65 or older, a share projected to reach 22% by 2035, according to the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity. Health care has become the state's largest and fastest-growing employment sector, accounting for one in every three new Arizona jobs.
Bhatt, appointed CEO in late 2024, brings nearly 20 years of health care leadership to the role. He previously founded and scaled Spectrum Dermatology into Arizona's largest dermatology group before its private equity exit in 2021. OrthoArizona will host a ribbon cutting and community open house at the Glendale location this fall.
