Toronto – September 11, 2026 -- Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: ORV; OTCQX: ORVMF) said its Bolivian subsidiary Empresa Minera Paitití S.A. (EMIPA) has produced its first doré bar from processing stockpiled oxide material at the Don Mario site in southeastern Bolivia.
First doré bar confirms metallurgical design of expanded plant
CEO Juan Gavidia said the result confirms the metallurgical performance of the expanded Don Mario Plant is in line with design and engineering assumptions. The company is now focused on safely increasing throughput and optimizing plant performance as operations ramp up.
Oxides Stockpile Project revives site idled since 2020
Mining and milling at Don Mario were suspended in the first quarter of fiscal 2020 after depletion of mineral reserves at the time. Orvana is now completing the Oxides Stockpile Project (OSP) to process oxide material accumulated during earlier mining years, an initiative that includes a large-scale expansion enabling copper cathode production and an upgrade to the ADR section of the legacy gold-silver circuit.
Full commercial output for gold-silver doré and copper cathodes still pending
EMIPA's near-term priorities are raising processing throughput, optimizing metallurgical performance and stabilizing operating circuits en route to full commercial production of gold-silver doré and copper cathodes. Orvana said fiscal 2026 production levels will depend on the pace of ramp-up activities, plant performance and successful stabilization of all circuits, with further updates to follow.
