METLEN Signs Second Gallium Supply Deal With Japanese Chemical Firm

Athens, Greece – October 05, 2026 -- METLEN has signed a long-term commercial agreement with a major Japanese chemical company covering up to 16% of its total annual gallium production, marking the second such supply deal announced for output from its Greek production facility, currently under construction.
Second deal pushes METLEN toward full sellout of 50MT annual gallium capacity
The agreement is the second strategic gallium supply arrangement disclosed by METLEN, reinforcing international demand for a non-Chinese source of the critical raw material. Commercial terms were not disclosed. With this new contract, METLEN says it is almost certain that its entire planned production of 50 metric tons per annum will be sold out months before commercial production begins in the third quarter of 2027.
