Project Eleven Launches Strongpoint Custody Platform, Adds Zcash Foundation

New York – October 06, 2026 -- Project Eleven has launched Strongpoint, an institutional custody platform designed to protect digital assets as networks migrate to post-quantum cryptography, with the Zcash Foundation joining as the initial development partner. More than $1 trillion in digital assets remain exposed to attack by sufficiently powerful quantum computers, according to the company.

Strongpoint offers a single control layer as cryptographic standards shift across networks

Strongpoint is built to let institutions maintain a consistent set of key-management, transaction-approval and audit controls even as the cryptography underlying individual blockchains changes. The architecture is meant to avoid forcing institutions to rebuild custody infrastructure each time a network adopts a new signature scheme.

"Quantum computing is upending" the assumption that institutional custody rarely needs to change, said Alex Pruden, CEO of Project Eleven, adding that Strongpoint is built around crypto-agility so cryptography can evolve without disrupting the infrastructure around it.

Zcash Foundation brings privacy-preserving cryptography expertise to the build

The Zcash Foundation's Executive Director, Alex Bornstein, said institutions holding shielded ZEC require custody infrastructure that respects Zcash's privacy model while adapting to future cryptographic standards. The Foundation's protocol-engineering expertise is informing how Strongpoint manages network-specific requirements, including Zcash's more complex key-management and transaction rules, within a common institutional control framework.

Only 10 of the top 20 Layer 1 networks have published post-quantum migration plans

A Project Eleven review of the 20 largest assets in CoinGecko's Layer 1 category by market capitalization, conducted September 25, 2026, found that only 10 networks have published a technical proposal, roadmap or implementation path for migrating transaction or account authentication to post-quantum cryptography. Those roadmaps span at least six different proposed post-quantum signature schemes and diverge on account migration, key rotation and legacy-asset recovery, leaving operational readiness uneven even where plans exist.

Project Eleven targets Q4 2026 production deployment with limited partners

The company is working with a limited group of development partners ahead of general availability, with additional partners and supported networks to be announced before the targeted fourth-quarter 2026 launch. Project Eleven, founded in 2024 by Alex Pruden and Conor Deegan, raised a $20 million Series A led by Castle Island Ventures in January 2026, bringing total funding to $26 million, and has since acquired Riva Labs to expand its post-quantum signature and wallet-infrastructure engineering capabilities.
