RCA's Kendall Keller Joins Joint Commission Behavioral Health Council

Devon, Pa. – October 30, 2026 -- Recovery Centers of America (RCA) has appointed Kendall Keller, its Enterprise Director of Licensing and Regulatory, to the Joint Commission's Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Advisory Council for a two-year term running through summer 2028.

Keller oversees compliance across 17 RCA locations in 10 states

Keller brings 18 years of experience in healthcare quality, compliance and risk management. At RCA, she manages licensing, accreditation and regulatory compliance for all 17 locations in 10 states.

She also supports RCA's expansion by researching regulatory requirements for new ventures. She secures the licenses, accreditations and registrations needed to launch new programs, service lines and sites.

Council role gives Keller input on Joint Commission standards and policy

The Joint Commission describes itself as the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Its advisory council draws on individuals with expertise in settings and services eligible for behavioral health accreditation.

Keller will advise on current and emerging issues in the field and report how they affect patients' care experience. Council members can also weigh in on proposed changes to the Joint Commission's standards, policies, products and services. They help shape educational resources for accredited organizations and give input on the strategic direction of its Behavioral Health Care Accreditation programs.

Keller said she aims to "help shape standards that raise the bar for behavioral health care everywhere."

Joint Commission executive cites substance use and mental health expertise

Ken Grubbs, the Joint Commission's Chief Nursing Executive and Executive Vice President of Accreditation and Certification Operations, said RCA's work with patients with substance use and mental health disorders adds an important perspective to the council. He said the Joint Commission will work with RCA to identify opportunities to strengthen quality and safety across the behavioral health care continuum.
