Reliever Launches AI Back-Office Platform for Youth Sports Finances

Minneapolis – October 06, 2026 -- Reliever, a new fintech platform, launched to automate the banking, bookkeeping and compliance work that volunteer treasurers at youth sports associations have historically managed by hand. The company targets a segment of youth sports where billions of dollars flow annually through what it describes as fragmented, fragile financial infrastructure never designed for that scale of money.

Platform consolidates banking, budgeting and compliance into one system

Reliever provides an insured operating account along with virtual and physical cards for each team, governed by built-in spend policies. The platform lets boards build annual budgets, track actuals in real time, and generate board-ready financial statements readable by non-finance volunteers. Vendor payments, W-9s and 1099s are processed within the same system, giving boards a single view of every account and transaction.

Compliance tools target 990 filings and audit-readiness

On the regulatory side, Reliever handles 990 filings and state and local reporting, maintaining audit-ready records throughout the year rather than requiring reconstruction at year-end. Built-in approval rules and a full transaction trail are designed to make fraud easier to detect, and incoming treasurers inherit a documented system instead of informal, hand-off records.

Founder cites prior exit at Wellbeats and LifeSpeak

Reliever Co-Founder and CEO Jason Campana brings more than 15 years of software company operating experience to the venture. He joined wellness technology firm Wellbeats in its early stages and helped build it to a successful exit in 2022, later serving as Chief Operating Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of acquirer LifeSpeak. Campana said the company began by working with the treasurer of his local hockey association before expanding testing across associations in multiple sports, finding the same operational gaps repeated nationwide.

Stillwater hockey treasurer validates manual workload problem

Collin Bushman, treasurer of the Stillwater Area Youth Hockey Association, said he was surprised by how much of the volunteer role involved manual work with few efficient tools available. Reliever positions itself as complementary to existing registration, scheduling and communications platforms used by associations, picking up financial operations where those tools stop.

Reliever is now onboarding associations across multiple sports and sizes as it rolls out the platform nationwide.
