The entertainment weekend follows a year of rapid buildout at the Queens site. In April 2026, Resorts World New York City opened 242 live table games and 2,507 commercial casino slots. Three months later, in July, the company broke ground on Phase 2 of its $5.5 billion investment, which includes a 400-room hotel tower, the Kenny "The Jet" Smith Sports and Media Complex, a 7,000-seat arena, 1,200 additional hotel rooms under the Crockfords brand, a central plaza and a new parking garage. The expansion is projected to create 10,000 jobs, including 5,000 union construction positions, and add 2 million square feet of gaming, entertainment, dining, retail and convention space to the existing one-million-square-foot property.
