Glendale, Calif. – October 15, 2026 -- Reveleer has appointed Jean-Luc ("JL") Neptune, MD, MBA, as Chief Medical Officer to lead clinical strategy across risk adjustment, quality, and member management programs serving 12 million covered lives.
Neptune will set clinical direction for Reveleer products and shape the company's approach to AI, value-based care, and health care payment reform. He brings more than 20 years of experience putting new technology in front of clinicians at the point of care, first as a physician and later as a digital health founder.
Reveleer cites a gap between AI adoption and operational readiness
Citing its own 2026 State of Technology in Value-Based Care report, Reveleer says AI adoption has outpaced operational readiness. Health plans, it argues, need AI that scales quickly and remains transparent enough to trust.
The company has processed more than 2 billion pages of medical records for risk adjustment and quality programs. Its EVETM AI links each suggestion to the exact page in the medical record where the evidence appears, so coders and clinicians can verify it before making the final call.
Reveleer shifts risk adjustment from post-visit chart review to the point of care
CEO Jay Ackerman said risk adjustment and quality work are moving from chart review after the visit to the point of care, where AI places a suggestion in front of a physician while the patient is still in the room. Reveleer Prospective Risk Adjustment already delivers suspect conditions and open care gaps to clinicians in the electronic health record before, during, and after the visit.
Neptune said clinicians trust AI when it shows its work, and that every suggestion should lead directly to the evidence a physician would seek. He said clinicians will help decide, at each stage of planning, building, and testing, which decisions belong to a clinician.
Neptune arrives from Commure with founder and investor experience
Neptune most recently served as Clinical Commercial Leader at Commure, where he helped bring care automation and AI to clinicians and health systems. He has founded startups, invested in dozens of companies, practiced as a direct care physician, and operated a physical clinic.
He completed his medical training at Columbia University/NewYork-Presbyterian, is board-certified in internal medicine, and holds an MBA from the Wharton School.
Reveleer schedules a 45-minute fireside chat for Nov. 10, 2026
Neptune and Ackerman will hold a live session titled "Keeping Clinical Judgment at the Center of AI in Value-Based Care" on Nov. 10, 2026. The 45-minute discussion covers Neptune's path from clinical medicine into health care operations and investing, the conditions AI needs to work inside a clinical workflow, and which decisions call for clinician or coder review. It closes with audience questions.
