Plano, Texas – September 15, 2026 -- Ribbon Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: RBBN) announced that TNS will embed Ribbon's voice technologies into its Hosted Cloud Connect solution, giving independent and rural communications service providers (CSPs) a managed path off legacy switching infrastructure.

The Hosted Cloud Connect solution combines TNS's cloud-based voice platform with Ribbon's Application Server (AS), Session Border Controller (SBC), and Policy and Routing Server (PSX). The pairing is designed to move CSPs from on-premises voice switches to a cloud model while preserving carrier-grade voice quality, resiliency and security.
Rural and independent operators face rising cost and talent pressure
Independent and rural carriers are contending with high reliability requirements that make wholesale network replacement risky, rising regulatory obligations, and a shrinking pool of specialized voice-network technicians. Customers are simultaneously demanding more advanced communications services, forcing operators to balance investment in new capabilities against cost control.
