Rocket One Licenses Air Force Patent for Drone-Capture Tech

Hoboken, N.J. – October 06, 2026 -- Rocket One Inc. (Nasdaq: RKTO) has signed a 12-month Evaluation Patent License Agreement with the Department of the Air Force covering U.S. Patent No. 10,239,637 B2, a system designed to physically capture hostile drones and sever their communications links.

Patent combines physical containment with RF isolation

The licensed invention, titled "System and method for arresting and neutralizing unmanned vehicles," describes a friendly drone deploying a containment unit around a target unmanned aircraft. The containment shielding is designed to interrupt communications between the hostile drone and its operator. Additional configurations outlined in the patent may support localized spoofing, jamming, and signal-intelligence functions.

Agreement covers seven security application areas

The license grants Rocket One rights to evaluate the technology in the United States across military-base protection, airports and airfields, homeland and border security, maritime and port security, critical infrastructure, correctional facilities, and government facilities.

CEO positions capture tech alongside existing counter-drone platform

"This agreement adds a patented approach to capturing and neutralizing hostile drones to Rocket One's defense technology portfolio," said Robb Knie, Chief Executive Officer of Rocket One. He said physical capture combined with communications isolation gives the company a distinct capability to evaluate alongside Swarm Stage AI, its existing drone-swarm threat-emulation and counter-UAS training platform.

During the evaluation period, Rocket One plans to assess system configurations, testing requirements, and potential integration between the newly licensed physical-interception approach and its simulated threat-scenario training tools.

Deal grants evaluation rights only, not a procurement award

The agreement provides evaluation rights only and does not authorize commercial sales of the technology. Any future commercialization would require additional rights and applicable approvals. The arrangement is not a government procurement award and does not constitute Department of the Air Force endorsement of Rocket One or its products. The capabilities described in the patent remain subject to evaluation and testing and do not represent demonstrated Rocket One product performance.
