Registry classifies tracks under three categories to fight platform confusion
The SIQA Verified Registry sorts music under the SIQA Classification Framework into three tiers: Fully AI-Generated, AI-Assisted, or Human + AI Hybrid, the latter covering techniques such as vocal cloning. The system moves beyond the generic 'AI-Generated' label now used across streaming platforms including Spotify and Deezer, where AI-made tracks have proliferated faster than the industry can track, according to reporting from Billboard and Music Business Worldwide. SIQA's stated approach is 'Verified, Not Flagged,' positioning verification as a credential artists can carry rather than a dispute they must fight.
Companion app uses audio fingerprinting to identify AI classification instantly
The SIQA Verified app, available on the App Store, identifies songs using audio fingerprinting technology similar to Shazam, then pulls classification data from the registry to show listeners, labels, distributors, and DSPs whether a track is fully synthetic, AI-assisted, or a human-AI hybrid within seconds.
SIQA to host inaugural AI Music Awards in Los Angeles on November 13, 2026
The event will include the presentation of the first-ever SIQA Visionary Award and live performances directed by creative teams behind AI-driven acts Xania Monet, Olivia B Moore, Chaisen Hale, and EJ Rogers. A preceding SIQA Summit on November 12 will feature panel discussions with industry figures including Romel Murphy, CEO of dai+drm.
Deepgram joins sponsor roster, backing real-time voice infrastructure oversight
