SiriusXM Names Sean Gibbons Chief Product and Technology Officer

New York – September 11, 2026 -- SiriusXM (NASDAQ: SIRI) has promoted Sean Gibbons to Senior Vice President, Chief Product and Technology Officer, placing him on the company's Executive Leadership Team and giving him control over product and technology across both SiriusXM and Pandora.

Gibbons will oversee product strategy, engineering platforms, automotive partnerships and ad tech

Reporting directly to CEO Jennifer Witz, Gibbons takes responsibility for product strategy and development, technology platforms and engineering, automotive and streaming distribution partnerships, and advertising technology. Witz credited him with shaping the rollout of SiriusXM with 360L and cited his more than two decades of tenure and cross-functional track record.

Priorities include AI personalization and next-generation in-car experiences

Gibbons' mandate covers advancing SiriusXM with 360L, setting the long-term technology roadmap across satellite, broadcast and streaming platforms, and applying AI to personalization, content discovery and customer service. He is also tasked with building more connected and participatory in-vehicle and streaming experiences.

Gibbons joined Sirius in 2000, prior to the company's first satellite launch, and has held roles across product management, engineering, automotive, streaming, content technology and strategic partnerships. He established SiriusXM's first formal Product Management organization and later founded its first Streaming organization, extending the company's reach to mobile, web and connected-home platforms.

Gibbons most recently led SiriusXM's Automotive organization overseeing OEM relationships

In his prior role, Gibbons brought together product, user experience, engineering and automotive partnerships to advance in-vehicle experiences and relationships with major automakers. He has been central to the company's shift toward connected, software-defined vehicle experiences and hybrid satellite-and-IP services.
