Solv Wellness Names Christine Vaccaro First Chief Medical Officer

Atlanta – October 14, 2026 -- Solv Wellness, a women's health company focused on perimenopause and menopause, has appointed Christine Vaccaro, DO, FACOG, MSCP, as its first Chief Medical Officer, effective immediately.

Vaccaro will advise the company on its menopause education strategy and support educational initiatives for patients and healthcare professionals. She will also contribute to patient and clinician resources and represent the company in select media, speaking and educational programs.

Appointment targets a documented menopause education gap

The company cites two data points behind the move. Fewer than one in three U.S. OB/GYN residency programs offer a dedicated menopause curriculum, according to a 2023 study in the journal Menopause. Only about half of women going through menopause have consulted a health professional about it, according to a 2024 AARP survey.

Vaccaro brings 30 years of U.S. Army medical service

Vaccaro is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and trained in sexual medicine. A West Point graduate, she served 30 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a colonel. Her roles included Fellowship Program Director and Service Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

She is a published researcher and sits on committees of the American Urogynecologic Society and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. She also develops clinician education for organizations including the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health.

Solv Wellness frames the hire as a clinical credibility upgrade

Co-founder and CEO Terri Wade said the addition, alongside the company's medical advisory board, deepens its commitment to scientific rigor and clinician trust. Wade noted that women can spend more than a third of their lives after the menopause transition.

Vaccaro said many women are dismissed and told their symptoms are simply part of aging, although many can be evaluated and treated. She approaches menopause as whole-woman health spanning pelvic, sexual and overall well-being.

Vaccaro practices in Bethesda, Maryland, with Dr. Rachel Rubin, a recognized expert in sexual medicine and menopause care. Solv Wellness, which has operated since 2010, markets GennaMD, a non-antibiotic UTI supplement; Via, a vaginal moisturizer; and Māge, a 3-in-1 pre- and probiotic.
