September 15, 2026 – Fort Worth, Texas – -- Overhead Garage Door (OGD), a portfolio company of The Sterling Group Foundation Fund, has completed three founder-owned acquisitions in 2026, expanding its residential and commercial garage door platform to nearly 70 metropolitan markets across more than 20 states.
OGD adds Madisonville, Hall's and Compaan garage door businesses within a three-month span
The company closed deals for Madisonville Garage Doors and Hall's Garage Doors in June 2026, followed by Compaan Garage Doors in August 2026. All three were founder-owned businesses sourced through OGD's and Sterling's proprietary deal relationships, and each brought a tenured technician workforce along with established local customer bases.
Deals deepen Midwest coverage and add new Michigan metro markets
The Madisonville and Hall's acquisitions increase OGD's service density in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. The Compaan transaction extends the platform into metropolitan markets in Michigan. Leadership from all three companies joined the OGD platform following closing.
Platform has completed six add-ons since Sterling's 2024 investment
Sterling partnered with OGD in July 2024 to scale the company's technician-led growth model. Over the following two years, OGD has completed six add-on acquisitions and grown its footprint from 45 to nearly 70 metropolitan markets. The company has invested in centralized procurement, lead generation infrastructure, consumer financing programs, and an integrated technology suite during that period.
OGD signals further acquisitions as pipeline remains active
The company stated it continues to pursue acquisition opportunities in both existing and new markets. HamptonRock Partners served as transaction advisor on the three 2026 deals, while Kelly Hart & Hallman, LLP and McDermott Will & Schulte provided legal advisory services to OGD.
