NEW YORK – October 29, 2026 -- Talos, the institutional technology and data provider for digital asset trading and portfolio management, has hired Kelly Ye as Head of Research, putting a dedicated leader over a research program that follows liquidity, market structure and onchain finance.

Ye brings nearly two decades of finance experience, including 14 years in traditional markets

Ye will be based in New York. She held investment leadership roles in digital assets at Avenir Group and Decentral Park Capital. She also held research and product leadership roles at Fidelity Digital Asset Management and CoinDesk Indices. Most recently, she was building Coinbridge, a company focused on bridging the capital gap for tokenized real-world assets.

Ye holds a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Peking University and a master's degree in Operations Research from MIT. She is a CFA charterholder.

Research program serves asset managers, hedge funds, banks and brokers

Ye will oversee output that includes the weekly State of the Network newsletter on onchain finance, the State of the Market dashboard and weekly market commentary. The program also produces deep-dive special reports and quarterly and annual market reports.

Her remit is to connect that research to client questions on market structure, liquidity, emerging opportunities and onchain developments.

Coin Metrics acquisition made data central to the Talos platform

Talos acquired Coin Metrics in 2025, bringing market data, network data, indexes and onchain analytics into its order and execution management and portfolio management systems. CEO and Co-Founder Anton Katz said data has been part of the company's vision from the start and that the acquisition made it a central part of the platform.

Katz said Ye understands how institutions use research to make decisions and will help clients interpret markets as more assets move onto digital rails.

Ye described the shift as one from digital assets toward digital markets, where traditional and onchain finance are increasingly connected. She said she aims to make Talos Research "a primary reference for the market."
