Hong Kong Electronics Shows See 25% Buyer Surge Ahead of Oct 2026 Edition

HONG KONG – September 04, 2026 -- Global professional buyer pre-registration for the October 2026 Global Sources Hong Kong Shows is running 25% ahead of the same period last year, with North America and Europe driving the sharpest gains, organizers said.

Over 4,200 suppliers to fill 8,000 booths across two phases

The event runs October 11-21 at AsiaWorld-Expo under the theme "Connecting Global Innovation, Enabling Sustainable Sourcing." More than 4,200 Asia-based suppliers will occupy over 8,000 booths, presenting upwards of 330,000 new products spanning consumer electronics, gaming, mobile electronics, smart home, security & appliances, lifestyle electronics, and sports & outdoor. John Kao, Vice President of Global Sources Hong Kong and Overseas Shows, said the format lets buyers validate trends, inspect samples, place orders and secure suppliers in a single visit.

Helsinki Design Week and Habitare Unite City's Creative and Furniture Sectors

Helsinki – September 03, 2026 -- Helsinki will host two major design events in close succession this year, with Helsinki Design Week running 28 August to 6 September 2026 and Habitare, the Nordic region's leading furniture and interior fair, taking place 2-6 September 2026 at Messukeskus, the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

GSMA and ITU to Co-Locate MWC26 Doha With PP-26 in November 2026

London -- September 01, 2026 -- The GSMA and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) announced on August 31, 2026 that MWC26 Doha will run alongside the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-26), the first time the two events have been co-located. PP-26 is the ITU's top policy-making body, held every four years to set the agency's strategic direction, approve financial plans and elect officials. The joint staging brings government, intergovernmental and industry leaders together in Doha for a month of digital policy talks and connectivity demonstrations.

MWC26 Doha will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from November 8 to 10, 2026, organized in partnership with Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). PP-26 will run at the same venue from November 9 to 27, 2026, under the organization of Qatar's Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA).
