Koblenz – September 08, 2026 -- Germany's Bundeswehr has commissioned Bremen-based FHF Flurfördergeräte GmbH to overhaul eight mobile FM/DAB+ transmission containers for its Center for Operational Communication, with full delivery targeted for mid-2028.

The Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) awarded the regeneration contract to upgrade aging transmission cabins that form part of the military's mobile radio broadcast systems, alongside equipment trucks, power generators and a mobile 25-meter antenna.

Prototype Container Arrives by Year-End, Seven More Follow in 2027-2028

A first prototype unit is scheduled for completion by the end of this year. Following successful testing and acceptance, seven additional containers will be produced through 2027 and 2028, completing the fleet renewal by mid-2028.

The Subchapter T-certified craft measures 59.06 feet in length overall with a 19-foot beam, 4.92-foot maximum draft, and a full displacement of 44.0 tons. Twin MAN diesel engines are designed to deliver a minimum speed of 20 knots at 90 percent rated engine power, while a dynamic station-keeping system will hold precise position during sampling in variable tidal and current conditions.

Del Mar – September 07, 2026 -- Skanska has signed a USD 57 million (about SEK 530 million) contract with the City of San Diego to expand the El Camino Real corridor between Half Mile and Via De La Valle in Del Mar, California. The contract will be booked in Skanska USA's third-quarter 2026 order intake.

Contract widens El Camino Real to four lanes and replaces an 84-year-old bridge

The project will widen El Camino Real to four lanes and replace the existing San Dieguito River Bridge, which has stood for 84 years. Construction will upgrade drainage infrastructure to cut flooding risk and add riverbank stabilization to protect the corridor from erosion along the San Dieguito River.
