Teekay Tankers fleet totals 34 double-hull vessels
Teekay holds a controlling ownership interest in Teekay Tankers, which owns and operates mid-sized crude tankers. The fleet of 34 double-hull tankers comprises 14 Suezmax tankers, 18 Aframax/LR2 tankers and two Suezmax newbuilds. Teekay Tankers also has three time chartered-in tankers.
The vessels are typically employed through a mix of spot market trading and short- or medium-term fixed-rate time charters.
Marine services and lightering add business lines beyond crude shipping
Teekay Tankers manages and operates vessels for the Australian government and Australian energy companies. It also owns a ship-to-ship transfer business that provides full-service lightering and lightering support in the U.S. Gulf and Caribbean.
