TheIncLab Wins Army NGC2 Software Role for I Corps After $99M Deal

Tampa – October 29, 2026 -- TheIncLab, the trade name of Mente Systems, Inc., has been selected by the U.S. Army to deliver commercial software for Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) to I Corps. The selection follows a $99 million contract awarded on Sept. 29.

Army awards $99 million IDIQ contract running to 2031

The Sept. 29 award is a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for commercial technology, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2031. The Army is using the vehicle to acquire technology quickly and meet changing mission requirements.

I Corps becomes next unit to receive NGC2 software as Army scales across the force

The Army is moving from division-level prototyping to scaling NGC2 across the force, and I Corps is the next unit to receive the software capability. According to the Army, the NGC2 application ecosystem will provide integrated information and mission execution tools across six warfighting functions: C2, Fires, Intelligence, Movement/Maneuver, Sustainment and Protection.

TheIncLab says its approach follows the Army's modular, open architecture and its emphasis on commercial technology, interoperability and continuous improvement shaped by Soldier feedback.

TheIncLab targets manual data entry as crewed and autonomous assets share airspace

The company argues that as more crewed aircraft, drones and autonomous systems operate together, disconnected tools and manual data entry slow coordination and increase risk. Its software links mission planning directly to the real-time data Soldiers use.

Joe Degliuomini, VP of Programs and Development at TheIncLab, said that moving data by hand slows Soldiers down and can introduce mistakes. He said the award lets the company keep building technology that solves real problems in the field.

Four-tool Maneuvering Portfolio covers planning, autonomy, timing and shared data

TheIncLab's Maneuvering Portfolio includes four tools:

  • Eris: gives aviation planners access to aircraft performance, routes and operational data, so mission plans update the shared picture and transfer directly to aircraft.
  • LEAP: provides a unified space to plan and rehearse launched-effects missions, connecting outside platforms and autonomy models without vendor lock-in.
  • Kronos: manages timing and deconfliction.
  • Iris: handles shared data.
Ivy Mass and Project Convergence Capstone 6 gave TheIncLab division-scale field exposure

TheIncLab's aviation planning and launched-effects capabilities supported Army experimentation at Ivy Mass and Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PC-C6). Soldiers used the applications to make decisions across an entire Division formation. The company demonstrated workflows connecting aviation mission plans to the Army's shared data environment, airspace coordination tools and aircraft mission data transfer.
