XORTX to Delist from TSX Venture, Keeps Nasdaq Listing

Calgary – October 12, 2026 -- XORTX Therapeutics Inc. has elected to voluntarily delist its common shares from the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), ending a dual listing it says no longer justifies its cost. The company will keep its primary listing on Nasdaq (XRTX) and its Frankfurt listing (ANU).

XORTX, a late-stage clinical pharmaceutical company developing therapies for gout and progressive kidney disease, will announce the timing of the delisting in a separate press release.

XORTX cites duplicate fees and regulatory complexity as reasons for leaving the TSXV

The company said a comprehensive evaluation concluded that the TSXV listing does not justify its costs and administrative requirements. It also said the different regulatory environments create challenges.

XORTX expects the delisting to deliver four outcomes:

The agreement, dated May 13, 2026, ran for 90 days from May 18, 2026. It covered 10 marketing days of news distribution campaigns for an aggregate fee of US$2.5 million, payable in advance. The fee had been fully earned on receipt and was non-refundable.

Both parties agreed to rescind the arrangement, and all services under it have been discontinued. The funds were returned to XORTX in August 2026. The release cites both August 7 and August 14 as the return date.

Rio Silver Wins OTCQB Approval, Grants 850,000 Options at C$0.35

Vancouver – October 12, 2026 -- Rio Silver Inc. (TSX.V: RYO) has received approval to trade on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol "RYOOF", and has granted 850,000 incentive stock options to consultants.

OTCQB listing opens U.S. retail and institutional access to Rio Silver shares

The OTCQB is a U.S. trading platform operated by OTC Markets Group Inc. for developing and entrepreneurial-stage companies. The Securities and Exchange Commission recognizes it as an "established public market" for determining the public market price when registering securities for resale.

Rio Silver says the listing gives U.S. retail and institutional investors improved access to its shares. The company frames the move as coming at a point when global silver production is decreasing and interest in pure-play silver producers is accelerating, particularly where the majority of the co-product is gold. The company provided no market data to support either claim.

Apollo estimates nearly $3 trillion will be needed for AI infrastructure alone through 2028, capital that many frontier companies struggle to access because fixed underwriting, legal, servicing and distribution costs favor large, standardized deals.
