Hong Kong – September 15, 2026 -- NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited (Hong Kong Stock Code: 777) has agreed to fund a new "NetDragon Professorship in Medical Technology" at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), targeting research at the intersection of engineering and medicine.

NetDragon commits funding to back a distinguished HKUST engineering scholar

The professorship will be conferred on a scholar from HKUST's School of Engineering in recognition of research contributions, with the goal of accelerating breakthroughs in precision medicine and digital health. The signing ceremony took place on the HKUST campus, witnessed by HKUST President Prof. Nancy Ip and NetDragon Chairman and Executive Director Dr. Liu Dejian. The agreement was formally signed by Prof. Charles Ng, HKUST's Vice-President for Institutional Advancement, and Dr. Simon Leung, NetDragon's Vice Chairman and Executive Director.

ZURICH – September 15, 2026 -- IBM and Lockheed Martin have established a quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich under an offset agreement with armasuisse, Switzerland's Federal Office for Defence Procurement, bringing the country its first IBM Quantum System Two.

Swiss National Supercomputing Centre to host Switzerland's first Quantum System Two by end of 2026

The system will be installed at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) in Lugano and powered by IBM's most advanced processor, the Quantum Nighthawk. IBM will operate the machine, while ETH Zurich provides expertise, resources and technologies to Swiss industries, startups and academia, including direct access to the hardware.
